Editorial policy

Our standards for verification, corrections, transparency.

Verification

Every named professional we quote is verified through a public professional register where one exists. Figures and statistics are traced to the primary source and cross-checked against a second source where possible.

Corrections

We correct factual errors promptly. A correction notice is added to the bottom of the affected article and the page is re-timestamped. We do not quietly edit articles after publication.

Sources

Named sources are preferred. Anonymous sources are used only when our editor-in-chief knows their identity and has verified credentials, and are labelled as anonymous in the article.

Conflicts of interest

Writers and editors declare any personal, financial, or professional interest that could affect reporting. Where a conflict cannot be avoided, the article discloses it.

Advertising

We do not accept sponsored editorial. If a commercial partnership ever runs, it will be clearly labelled and visually distinct from editorial content.

AI-assisted work

Our writers may use AI-assisted research and drafting tools. Every article published is reviewed, fact-checked, and finalised by a human editor before going live.

Photography

Article photography is licensed from Unsplash and similar stock providers with per-image attribution to the photographer. We do not pass off stock photography as on-the-ground reporting.

Complaints

If we have fallen short of these standards, write to [email protected]. We aim to respond within three working days.
